Our Story
Autology began with a secret.
“Within six months of working with you, my therapist took me off depression medication,” a former colleague shared. “Six months after that, I was off anxiety medication. And I’ve never felt more confident.”
That moment—and others like it—revealed something powerful: even casual conversations were unlocking clarity, courage, and change. I started hearing updates like “I submitted my law school application!” or “I just landed my first national client!” And I began to understand that I wasn’t just offering advice—I was helping people reconnect with their voice and direction.
As a senior leader at a community foundation that operated more like a think tank, I found myself most energized by one question: “What do you think?”
I loved discovering that those closest to the problem often already held the solution—they simply needed space and permission to think.
At the same time, I recognized something essential: I wasn’t energized by every issue—I was drawn to how people approached challenges. I cared deeply about ensuring that ideas existed, leaders were courageous, and the work was done well.
And I began to see a deeper truth: so much of who we are is formed at work.
Great leaders have both the opportunity and the responsibility to shape not just performance, but people. By supporting the whole person—through clarity, accountability, and respect—managers and colleagues don’t just unlock professional potential. They help develop the friend, neighbor, and parent someone might become.
That belief shaped Autology.
In 2022, I led a planning process to strengthen nonprofit services across Louisiana’s capital region. It reinforced something I’d long known: people aren’t short on vision—they’re short on people they trust to walk alongside it. And many of them trusted me—not because I had every answer, but because I helped them hear their own.
Rooted in a lifelong habit of bridging generations and translating unspoken values into shared direction, Autology exists to support leaders—especially those navigating growth, transition, or reinvention.
In 2024, I resigned from my vice presidency and formally launched Autology as a coaching and consulting practice. My former employer immediately contracted me to advise senior staff on talent development and customer strategy. Since then, I’ve partnered with founders, fundraisers, and executives navigating pivotal leadership moments.
And I’ve made a promise—
To bring not just perspective, but process.
Not just insight, but accountability.
Not just heart, but skill.
Because recognition is only the beginning. Autology exists to help answer the question that follows: “So, what's next?”
